Funny Guy Ron McGehee Joins Cast of ENGAGED

Los Angeles, CA - Actor - writer - producer- comedian Ron McGehee has signed on to play an edgy yet comical role in the upcoming film ENGAGED, a film that accurately captures neurotic predicaments of an engagement gone bad. A comedic actor, McGehee is hilarious as Murray, a man who alternates between tactless and ignorance becoming overly protective as he puts the many dilemmas into perspective by being outrageously combative with the groom's father. Chucked full of side splitting comments, McGehee's character is sometimes mindless as he's always sticking his foot in his mouth causing racial tension with his ridiculous antics.

Writer Claire Yorita Lee has worked on numerous TV shows and pilots including NBC's Medium. ENGAGED is a passion project for her, combining her love for Christ, comedy and community.

Directed by Dean Miyahira, the cast also includes Amanda Fuller (CSI, Without a Trace, 7th Heaven), Patty Toy Chung (NYPD Blue, Mad About You, Chicago Hope), Kerri Pomarolli (The Tonight Show, Young and the Restless, ABC, ABC Family, Hallmark, Oxygen) as well as some very talented newcomers.

McGehee, a producer of Non Toxic Comedy, has headlined at such venues as the World Famous Improv Comedy Clubs and The Comedy Store. He has made a number of guest television appearances including NBC's "Last Comic Standing 2", Comedy Central, ABC Family, and Oxygen Network and has also written for The Late, Late Show with Craig Kilborn, The Carson Daily Show, and Jimmy Kimmel. He tours throughout the U.S. performing stand up and speaking at churches and colleges bringing his life lessons and hilarious multi cultural humor to audiences nationally. ENGAGED is set to hit the festival circuit with a scheduled premiere at CINERGY 2008 held at the Japan America Theatre in downtown Los Angeles on November 1, 2008.

ENGAGED is scheduled to start shooting in Los Angeles September 13, 2008.
